Como m\u00e9dico, dedic\u00f3 sus a\u00f1os al servicio de los dem\u00e1s, dejando una huella de gratitud en la ciudad de Portoviejo. Sin embargo, su mayor orgullo y legado reside en el s\u00f3lido hogar que construy\u00f3 junto a su esposa, Miryan Tapia Murillo.\u200b<br \/>Padre de cinco hijos \u2014Myrian, Ma. Elo\u00edsa, Paola, Ma. P\u00eda y Gonzalo\u2014, el Dr. Medina fue el pilar de una familia extensa que hoy incluye hijos pol\u00edticos, numerosos nietos y bisnietos. Se le recuerda como un hombre de fe, cuya calidez y sabidur\u00eda guiaron a varias generaciones.
